Real Wedding: A Downtown Cleveland Wedding Inspired by Lake Erie

The story of Dani and Gordy’s love affair with Cleveland, Lake Erie, and each other, literally gave us chills. Their rustic approach to a nautical theme is perfectly suited to Lake Erie, and everything came together beautifully, from Dani’s gorgeous Watters gown to the subtle color palette and decor pieces.

When it came to start planning our wedding, Gordy and I knew we wanted two things incorporated: the city of Cleveland and Lake Erie. We grew in our relationship together in Downtown Cleveland and both have a love for all things nautical; nothing too themed or obvious. Elegantz Eventz Planning Business to Open in Solon Next Year

SOLON, Ohio—Solon’s historic district just gained another tenant with Elegantz Eventz moving into a space on Bainbridge Road next year.

Elegantz Eventz is an event planning business that specializes in nonprofit and corporate events. The event planners have been working out of their homes for the past three years, and the Solon location will be its first business office.

“Being an event planner, you want your location to say something about you,” co-owner Christine Slomberg said. “We wanted something with a lot of character.”

TribeVine – Strike Out! ALS Gala

Elegantz Eventz was proud to be part of the “Strike Out ALS” Gala & Auction. Currents presented its annual Black-Tie Awards Top 10 2012

Benefit Beat reporters covered nearly 300 events in 2012, from which they nominated ALS Association Northern Ohio Chapter as one of Top 10 most outstanding, unique and extraordinary events in Cleveland.

ALS Association “Strike Out ALS” Guests enjoyed dining under the stars at Progressive Field at Strike Out ALS. The event was moved from its traditional location in the clubhouse out onto the field attracting 400 supporters. Strike Out ALS has raised more than $1.5 million since its inception in 2000. Guests this year were treated to a seated dinner on the field, silent auction, as well as a piano concert from home plate.

The ALS Association visited Progressive Field on Saturday to enjoy dinner and a concert and raise money for a great cause. The 2013 Strike Out! ALS Gala and Auction raised at least $200,000.
